TENNIS RULES, REGULATIONS, AND FEES
To assure maximum enjoyment and utilization of the RidgePointe Country Club Tennis Facility by members and their guests, the following rules and regulations will be observed at all times.
The Executive Committee, as appointed by the Board of Directors, will oversee the tennis facility and establish the days and hours of operation. The Tennis Committee will be responsible for the promotions of member activity.
The Tennis Professional, or in their absence the designated employee, or General Manager shall have the final authority regarding the interpretation and enforcement of the tennis rules.
It is hoped that the pride all members will take in RidgePointe Country Club and in the tennis facility will help with the attractiveness of our Club.
GENERAL The use of the RidgePointe tennis courts will be limited to members of RidgePointe Country Club, their guests, or reciprocal guests.
All players shall be dressed in appropriate tennis attire, which includes: T-shirts, tennis shoes, or clothing designated for tennis such as collared shirts and tennis shorts. These items must be worn at all times. Inappropriate attire includes aerobic dancewear, sports bras without a covered shirt, cutoffs, bike shorts, swim wear, and T-shirts displaying profanity. Hard and/or black soled shoes are restricted from the tennis courts.
The rules established by the United States Tennis Association (U.S.T.A.) will be strictly followed and adhered to by all players at all times. The following RidgePointe Country Club rules have been adopted by the Board of Directors as to ensure maximum courtesy and consideration while at the RidgePointe Tennis Facility.
No smoking is permitted in the entire facility.
All beverages shall be in unbreakable containers.
Players will refrain from profanity or other loud noise while on the tennis courts.
Throwing of racquets and other horseplay which could be detrimental to the courts or facility is prohibited. No furniture, other than benches already provided, will be allowed on the playing surfaces.
Only food and beverages purchased at RidgePointe Country Club will be allowed. (Water thermos type containers are permitted for players.)
GUESTS
Members may invite guests to play with them while the courts are open.
Members must register their guests with the Tennis Pro, their staff, or the General Manager. Guest fees are as follows:
Guests living within 60 miles of Jonesboro (limit of one visit per calendar month and accompanied by a RidgePointe Country Club member). INDOOR: $20.00 per person per 1 ½ hours of court time. OUTDOOR: $5.00 per person per 1 ½ hours of court time.
Guests of members living outside 60 miles: INDOOR: $15.00 per person per 1 ½ hours of court time. OUTDOOR: $5.00 per person per 1-½ hours of court time. Immediate family members living outside 60 miles: INDOOR: $12.00 per person 1 ½ hours of court time. OUTDOOR: $5.00 per person per 1-½ hours of court time.
Members of reciprocal clubs (outside 60 miles): INDOOR: $25.00 per person 1 ½ hours of court time. OUTDOOR: $12.00 per person per 1-½ hours of court time. Members are responsible for their guest’s fees and any other charges, which they may incur.
All guests will abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Directors and reciprocal guests will be responsible for any indebtedness they may incur.
The above fees may be adjusted by the RidgePointe Country Club Board of Directors.
COURT RESERVATIONS
Court reservations are made for one (1) specific court at a designated time period. Time periods will be designated by the Tennis Professional and approved by the Executive Committee.
Members may reserve courts 72 hours in advance by calling the tennis pro-shop. Members may leave a message on the tennis shop answering machine or they may come in person to reserve a court.
The Tennis Professional or representative is responsible to record any court reservation made by telephone. Only the playing member may reserve a tennis court.
The court which has been reserved is the court to be played unless otherwise directed by the Tennis Pro or associate. A reserved court will be held for 15 minutes after the scheduled time. If a court is unused after that or the member has not contacted the Tennis Pro Shop, the Tennis Pro will have the authority to give the court to someone who is on stand by. Stand by will be on a first serve basis.
Court cancellations should be made 12 hours in advance. The member making the reservation will be charged a $20.00 per court cancellation fee. (INDOOR ONLY)
RidgePointe members have unlimited playing privileges on unreserved tennis courts subject to the applicable fee and court reservation procedures.
JUNIORS
Junior players are those under the age of 16. Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by their parent or have adult supervision while on the tennis court at all times. If a junior is taking a tennis lesson from the Tennis Pro this is deemed proper supervision.
Junior members have equal rights on the tennis courts in obtaining a court reservation. They must follow the same court reservation procedures.
The Tennis Professional may have one court for teaching at any time except during tournament play or team tennis matches.
Reservations for lessons may be made up to one month in advance.
The Tennis Professional is permitted to instruct members only unless approval is granted by the Executive Committee.
Only the RidgePointe Tennis Pro or staff will be allowed to give lessons at the RidgePointe Tennis Facility.
TEAM TENNIS
A maximum of two (2) courts will be allowed for team tennis practice. Only two (2) team matches may be scheduled on Saturdays. Only (1) team match may be scheduled on Sundays.
All members participating in team tennis must be a member of the Indoor Tennis Center Membership.
INDOOR TENNIS CENTER
For special tennis functions the Indoor Tennis Facility will be available for rent on a limited basis with the fees to be set by the Executive Committee. |
