Randy Pate
Assistant Golf Professional

Randy Pate joined RidgePointe staff as the First Assistant Golf Professional in May of 2008.  Originally from Texarkana, TX, Randy grew up playing golf at an early age with his father and brothers and was on the Texas High School and Texarkana Junior College golf teams.  He earned his PGA membership through the Professional Golf Management program at Mississippi State University while also earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree.

Upon graduation from the PGM program, Randy worked as an assistant professional in Moline, IL and Houston, TX before taking a Teaching Professional position at Wood Hollow Golf Club in Longview, TX.  Three years later he became the Head Golf Professional at Meadowbrook Country Club in Kilgore, TX.

After five years in Kilgore, Randy went a different direction in his career, opting to take over his parent’s sales area for The Louver Shop, selling and installing interior window treatments throughout East Texas and Louisiana.   While working for The Louver Shop, Randy had the opportunity to work for the First Tee Program in Longview, TX in his spare time and soon realized how much he missed working in the golf business and his love of teaching.

“My wife, Leah, and I used to love to vacation in Arkansas and jumped at the chance to move to Jonesboro.  We’ve already begun our search for the perfect fishing spot and are enjoying all that Jonesboro and Arkansas have to offer.  We are thrilled to be here!”
